Front Brake Shock

Hi Guys,
I've owned my A4 B8 S line for 17 months now, Brakes have always been quite good! had a glance through front wheel spokes off side & noticed pad seemed a little thin thinner than near side pad so whipped off the wheels for closer inspection Pleasantly surprised by the condition of the discs so thought i'd treat the gal to some new pads, went & got genuine Audi pads.

Concern arose when refitting Caliper with new pads & found Disc periphery was Inside the outer edge of the pad, so quickly measured diameter of the disc which was approx 315mm & 24mm thk I then looked up the spec for the car & found discs should be PR code 1LA 320mm Dia x30mm thk to siut caliper FNR-G60.

Horrified that the car in its past has been fitted with the wrong sized discs & I have been driving it for 17 months unknowingly. I wonder who the clown responsible is i.e.
previous owner, fitter or supplier.

The old gal is now back to o.e.m. spec: Just goes to show do we really know what we are buying or inheriting when purchasing second hand!!!
