Hi all, I have a MK6 GTD, I have blue smoke coming from rear under acceleration whether its hard acceleration of lightly using the throttle. It plumes out the back, mixed with a bit of black apparently too.

Previous owner told me it didn't do it when low on fuel (seems to be accurate) Seems to be a key point this <----

Turbo has been changed, all other associated parts checked and replaced, breathers have been double checked.

    DPF has 0mg inside.

DPF seems to constantly regenerate after EVERY drive. (fans still blowing when engine off)

It has had a cheap remap, which I wasn't aware of when I bought it.

Seems to not happen when the tank range is below 50 miles..

    C02 Sensor fault too!

If I remember any other details I'll update the thread.. Thoughts on the problem?

    Cheers!

Get it re-flashed to normal BUT not the emissions recall version and replace the sensor. If there is black smoke the DFP isn't working so I can't see how it would show 0% soot load coefficient and what about the ash content ml? Do you know if the DPF is actually inside the canister?

    DPF most likely.
No regen on low fuel warning - no smoke !
Maybe cheap aftermarket DPF unit or bad remap.

Booked in this evening to get a stock map put back on. According to VCDS dpf shows: 0ml Oil ash volume, 0.3 Carbon mass (spec.) 10.2 Carbon Mass (act.)? Hopefully that tells you more than I can understand.. Lol

That makes sense! Orgininal VW DPF is still on, booked in for a stock map later today.

That only explains the black smoke though, I'm more concerned over the blue?

There is plenty of blue smoke on regens. Especially if something’s wrong.

Would that not throw an error if the DPF had no internals.
