I decoded to open a new thread for this in case other people have a similar problem.

Related to the damp in my ECU box, I removed that, then I was goign to remove the plastic box it is in to change the gasket underneath it; but there are just two wires that connect to a plug in the plastic box and the wired goes down into the bulkhead and prevents the removal of the box, and therefore exchange of gasket.

The problem I have is the connector has a small lip that seems to be holding the connector into the plug; who do you get this off, I tried to bend it with a screw driver, but do not want to cause any damged, likewise I do not want to pull too hard.

Would instant gasket be fine for this purpose?

Thanks.
