    Hello,

Bit of an odd question but hoping someone can help me reverse engineer what I need as I may already have many of the parts....

To my A6 C7 2013 I retrofitted the AMI to the armrest using the kufatec kit, unfortunately at the time I couldn't get the replacement tray I wanted so ended up with the one for the phone prep in the armrest, I then brought the phone prep adapter (4G0862401) to fill the hole. Once I put the kit in there were no wires to connect it up to so pretty sure I'm missing something to have this feature as a nice side-effect of putting in the AMI.

Please could someone help me with what parts are missing to have the phone prep installed properly in the armrest specifically where the two wires from the phone cradle are plugged into and whether any additional coding is needed?

I have the RMC Nav Plus (two SD cards, no sim card head unit) and bluetooth enabled for calling so would suspect that there is a microphone and antenna already set up and working but even with ELSAWin I struggled to work out what other bits are needed.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

I didn't manage to work it out sadly, think it may be a case of needing the more advanced phone prep. Believe the unit goes somewhere near the footrest on the drivers side.

In the end decided as an iPhone owner the cradle wasn't going to give me much more as the AMI charges the phone and the bluetooth is pretty good anyway. I've been looking at CarPlay retrofits as they look like they may be pretty useful.

Let me know if you find anything else out, ELSAWin seemed to show the part I have but no details about what it connects to so thought it may be the phone prep high or whatever it's called.

    Good luck!
