    Howdy,

A friend was driving their 2012 Skoda Octavia Scout 2.0Tdi 4x4 and when they stopped, smoke pouring from both wheels.

It seems the front left and rear right brakes have seized on. Is there any reason it would do this on opposite corners like that?

    Cheers
    Aidan

Braking systems are designed that way so on the result of brake line failure the car won't pull to one side of the road.

Yeah I get that fella, but what could have failed to make it bind on both callipers like that all of a sudden. It’s had no brake work done etc. Was just driving along.

I'd suspect something up with the master cylinder, pressure not being relieved after the last brake application.

Sorry I answered that quite literally, one of the joys of having Asperger's.
I would try slackening one of the bleed nipples to relieve the pressure and see if it happens again next time.
If it does as above it sounds like master cylinder problems.
