    Chaps,

Well it's seven days until the XC90 arrives and a few more until the Q7 is collected.

The Q7 section on VWAF has been blinking good and a big thanks to all for all your assistance over the past two years, there really are some top blokes and genuine nice guys on here, you new fellas will be blessed. Good to see I have left my mark with a 'sticky' the first one after twelve years on this forum with A4's, A5 and A6. I spent a great deal of time here is year one but the last 12 months have been exciting and lively with my business as we continue to grow so I have been aloof.

It is going to one hell of a shift for me leaving the Auto fold after so many years but felt it was time for a change and the lease on the XC90 was just so good to stand up. I am looking forward to seeing what the $33bn has yielded for the Chinese after saying to the Swedes 'go get the Germans' and the brand in general I feel is on for good things once they have shook off the UK's old view. I have wifey in another Golf R so the household do remains with VAG and in 2019 I would hope to have her in a S3 or RS3 if I work really really hard.

My Q7, I have not one complaint, the two years has been a joyish ownership in every single way, I could not recommend enough. If the void in a two year lease was not circa £4k, yes 4 thousand pounds, I would have another in a blink. Ironically, one of the big Q7 +'s is the engine and this is probably going to be the biggest concern on the XC90 R Design T5. Yes, more power, but a forced super and turbo charged 4 cylinder is not going to come close to the Q7's smoothness. The interior is sublime on the XC and I am sure this will match the Q7 as will the tech.

I will post up on the XC90 as there may well be some interest and if there is any folk in Norfolk and Suffolk who want a play in a Q7 prior to making a move mine is available until the 24th, PM me.

    Many thanks again guys.

It’s been a pleasure Pitch - keep popping by even if not to give us a review of the XC90 vs Q7.

And I don’t think Advanced Keys have been mentioned in ages

All the best and good luck on the Swe-nese side

Hope you enjoy the XC90 as much. Agree, would be interesting to hear your thoughts. I only went to the Audi dealer 2 years ago because Volvo would only discount £1-2k.

It’s very very nice and it’s clear the Chinese billions are going to cause the Germans problems in the years to come given this is their first effort.

I will post up more detail shortly

Definitely is one of the nicest looking SUVs.
