I use 10l for the same reason, and much more manageable than the larger containers. Also I use, and would recommend, a genuine VW hose between the bottle and tank which eliminates spillage as long as both ends are securely tightened.

Vag hose is brilliant. Unfortunately for me after about 5 refills the hose split at the end where it goes into the bottle and started dripping. Leaving weird white stains on my driveway.
Wasnt that expensive either, think I got mine for 12 quid. Reminds me must get a new one before light comes on for next refill.

Mine has done 28,500 miles in 17 months and the AdBlue 1,500 miles range warning comes on now at about 6,800 miles. The first warning was at 6,300, then it gradually increased. Each time, when the range shows about 500 miles I take it to the local dealer to be filled, usually with 15l. My driving is a daily 80 miles on country roads 80% and busy city 20%, with 150 miles once a week on uninterrupted motorway.

I have refilled mine 3 times now. Only put 10L in at a time when the 1500 mile warning comes on, because I know it will all go in. Each 10L lasts around 6,500 miles. Mostly motorway driving 3 Ltr Quattro.

+1 For the official VAG hose. My only gripe is that its a slow fill but it fits perfectly and doesn't spill a drop.

I just sit it on top of the wheelie bin and grab a cup of tea 😉

Most HGV pumps have an ad blue pump, take your bottle and fill for 69p a litre or there abouts.
Just keep it away from water it's based on urine and will crystallise and spoil.
