Hey all, had my Q7 for 6 months now, loving it so far although I am noticing a hefty chunk of cash coming out of my account every month for the PCP payments!

One thing I've noticed is after filling up the range estimate says 700-710 miles, when in reality I am getting between 500-600 out of each tank, I was hoping it would "learn" but it seems pretty stubborn. Is there any way to train it? I do reset the long range trip counter every time I fill up so was wondering if I stopped resetting it whether it would "learn", but thought I'd ask here if anyone has figured out a way to make it more accurate?

    Cheers,

    Fronty

I think that might be it. I have never reset mine and it usually predicts about 430m which is probably my rough mpg if my maths is right! 430m / 16.5g tank (75 litres) = 26mpg

Oh well, I like resetting it so I can monitor my mileage and MPG over a tankful, will try leaving it and see if it makes any difference to the range.

    Cheers,

I will check mine, but over two years but 30-35 is about the norm and 700 est is like a nice dream with the hot weather girl involved at the pump.

Meh, despite not resetting the long range counter it's still reporting the range as 710-720 miles after filling up and I get nowhere near that. :-(

Hi, my range regularly indicates around 800 miles on a full tank. Seems about right to me. Just drove around lincolnshire on A roads with some stop and start in a few town centres. Travelled 135 miles today and range has just dipped below 690miles. On this trip i averaged 47.5mpg. Very happy with performance and economy.

from new i have averaged 39.5mpg over 9767 miles. see dash shots below of short term and long term memory

It might be considered a faff, but I use an app called road trip, every time I fill up, I record the amounts and it works out the mpg. I’ve only had it a couple of months and have towed a caravan during this time and getting 34mpg. Very happy considering! Around 550 miles on a tank.

Generally not too bad! Do use adaptive cruise control and a lot of short town journeys during the week.
