Hello, I'm new to this forum so please go easy on me!

Tonight on the way home from a 30/40 mile trip about 100m from my house my car started saying it had oil pressure issues and to stop immediately I managed to get the car home when I turned off the car the fans were going at full speed but the temp gauge was at 50 any advice?

    Other info on the car

    Not sure of last service
    Done around 84k
    1.9tdi

    Cheers

At the risk of stating the obvious; have you checked the oil level? Post the three letter engine code, presuming this is an old pd engine, or four letters if common rail.

Have you noticed any strange or knocking type noises from the engine, have you tried starting it from cold and if so do you still have the oil light coming on?

I haven't tried starting it up yet just incase but even though the car has sat for around 12 hours the car fans still kick in on full wack and there was no strange noises when I parked up it was running fine

Also the warning buzzer sounds and the handbrake light flashing when you put the key in the ignition

Check your batttery voltage is ok should be around 12.5 V or slightly more with engine off, it sounds more like electrical gremlins than mechanical problems, start the engine briefly and check voltage while running, should be 14.5V. If voltage is ok you'll need a vcds scan to start diagnosing the problem.

BXE isn't the best engine code as the upper conrod bearings like to wear through and spot weld to the crank...
