MMI fault in Audi Q3

Hey everyone, this is my first attempt on a forum so hope I’m posting in the right group.
I’m hoping someone can advise me on what’s best to do.

I have a 2016 Audi Q3 2.0tdi a few weeks ago the nav/music (MMI entertainment module) totally crashed and I’m getting no
power to anything around the system. We are 5-6 months out of warranty and our local Audi approved in Edinburgh say it’s an MMI module electrical fault (J794 unit) (8U0035192E?) @£1574+VAT for replacement unit only?

Am I wrong in thinking a car radio should at least last 10 years if not 40+ without needing to worrying about it, especially in a modern Audi?

Can anyone advise or suggest what I can do or where I stand with Audi?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Warranty is for 3 yrs, your car is 2yrs old.
