    Hi,

I'm looking to play my iPod and have full function through the mmi 2g high running latest software.

From what i've read, the best way of doing this is to replace the CD changer with and AMI. The part number i've found is 4E0 057 785 with various letters for different versions.

I'm struggling to find a unit for a sensible amount of money so does anyone know:

    1. if any other AMI's from different models are compatible?

    2. somewhere to buy the correct AMI from in the uk?

    Thanks

    Andy

I have just replaced the CD changer with a VNS Media box which is a third party AMI. Very pleased with it. It has built in Bluetooth so can stream from my phone, has USB input, and an iPod connector. I’m only using the USB and Bluetooth.

It seems that the 2G system can only handle one source, so there is a button on a lead with the unit to switch between the various inputs.

All in all it cost about £250 inc shipping from Poland.
