i have replaced both rear control valves and the suspension relay and all fuses are ok. It wont allow me to enter adaption with car running, when i go ignition only i can log in using 31564, then if i start the car it will allow me to log in. when i go adaption, it just hangs on wheel 1 with 'waiting' then locks out. when i log in agan and if i go to channel 1,2,3,4 for the wheels in adaption settings, adjust test, save, channel 5 is not avilable. if anyone can help, or is near Huddersfield please let me know.

Are you dealing with the J197 Suspension control unit with VCDS? Try Adaptations.

Sorry for the old thread bump.

Delete all the related DTCs, than make adaptation with the factory values instead of the measured! If it lets You change the value from 0 to 1 at block 5, than save it. Stop the engine, take out the key. And after You could start the normal adaptation procedure.

hi, i fixed this, i changed the brain in the boot, it adapted straight away no issues. i still have 2 valves used no fault, 1 brain (not sure will adapt as i think it was so confused) and 1 genuine pump (was no sssues working fine) as changed pump to be on safe side.

Than sorry for reopen old wounds

Once I have started an adaptation process and the middle of it the poor laptop has just died. From that point I have had the very same symptoms You mentioned - it was simple denied all attempt to make level correction. At the peak of my desperation I was feeding it with the factory values and voila , just happened to come back alive.
