    Hi

Picked up a new to me 2016 A6 BiTdi C7 today.
Awesome car, very very happy apart from one problem.

I use Waze on my iphone and as audi nav is rubbish. And I want the MMI Nav to stay in the close position.

Problem is, with the mmi nav closed by using the button, every time waze gives me directions, it opens, says its thing “turn left, whatever” then closes again!

    Rather annoying..

Only way to stop it opening and closing is to leave it open, which i dont want.

    Any ideas?

Hi Don't know about using an App, but the Audi system works fine with the screen down (main), giving voice commands when needed. For screen down just press the top button to the right of the main screen. What is it about the Audi system that you do not like, it works well, gives good definition and can be used, if you want, with Google maps. Do you have the Tech pack or the SD card based system ?

Hi, I guess i just like getting a better avatar on my waze app

Its only a problem with apps and iphone, everything as you say with the standard system is ok. But my choice is to use an app and the mmi opening and closing every time it says something sucks.

Hi. Thinking about this if I am using the iPod in the car and the passenger uses the iPod controls the main screen pops up with the change then retracts. So could be a setting that triggers this from the MMI so maybe there is something that can be changed using VCDS. Have a look in the VCDS tricks thread there may be some info there.
