    Hi all

I have an A6 allroad C6 2009 with a faulty door lock, won't open from the outside. now I've had a look round the forum and decided to do the work myself and get a lock from evil bay. Well the lock turned up yesterday Pt No 4F2 837 015 (A3 8P) and looks in good condition but looking at the electrical connector it has 8 pins? my question is - before I take the door apart is this correct or should it have 9 pins? Help

The drawing shows only 7 pins used.

    The lock should be a 4F2 837 015 or 4F2 837 015 B or 4F2 837 015 D or 4F2 837 015 E.

The later ones have more PR codes.

Thanks for the info Dan, so am I right in thinking that because my lock does not have a letter after the code just finishing 015 it will not work? Not overly keen on taking the lock out of the door and finding the new lock I have is no good.
