    Hi, me again

How much should I be paying to have my suspension bushes replaced? The thing feels very vague these days; it's a 52 reg and has done 135000 miles.

    Thanks

Are you sure its the bushes that need replacing, at that age and mileage the shock absorbers are probably well past their best if still the originals.

Could be I guess! It's making a bit of a noise with the movement of the suspension, a kind of a 'bong' sound like the fuel tank is amplifying suspension noise. A colleague of mine seems to think it's a bush.

TBH I should probable replace the bushes and the shocks...

Check you haven't got a broken spring, look closely at the spring ends as they usually snap within the first coil and the ends drop off, you see loads of them at the side of the road, or at least I do when I'm riding my bike!

Yes, same here with the bike & all. Neither of the back springs looked obviously broken but I'll have another look. Thx
