Hi. New to the forum so I apologise if I post anything wrong or in the wrong place. The heaters in my Audi A3 are not working. There is heat because u can feel it but air is not blowing out of the vents. Before they stopped working altogether I did notice a sort of squealing noise coming from behind the glove box, but this has stopped since the heaters stopped working. I thought it was the blower motor. So I bought a new one, dismantled all the glove box, replaced it, and still nothing, it just isn’t moving. It does nothing. But like I say, there is heat. U can feel it. Would it be the blower motor resistor? Or possibly something else? Any advice would be appreciated.

have a look at fuses 4, 16, 22, 37, 40 and 46 in the interior fuse box. a seized motor can blow the fuses hence a new motor would not work.

check for any blown fuses and report back please

Thanks, will grab some and try it, looked at the fuses first before changing the motor and for some odd reason there seemed to be all wrong amp fuses all over the place, that’s my next job, to change all the fuses. I’ll come back when Ive done it. Cheers

Thanks for the advice, went through the fuses, and the last owner (only had car 3 weeks!) had put a 5amp fuses where a 40amp fuse should be, of course this had blown, replaced it and everything is working again. Thanks very much for the help
