    Hi all,

I've purchased A4-B8 and I couldn't feel the issue until recently. Now I drive 2h a day. Basically I can feel that the driver's seat position is slightly to left vs steering wheel (and pedals). I suspect it's not more than 5-7mm but on longer journeys you tend to notice this and it's not pleasant. I even asked my friend to seat comfortably behind the wheel and he admitted feels like "slightly off-centre".

I've just checked the railings and doesn't look like anything is bend or off-position. The feeling is the same in different positions of the seat as well (front, back, tilted back/front, up/down, etc.). Over the weekend I'll try to remove the seat and look closely.

As I'm going through this anyone experienced this kind of issue? As a brainstorm topic: what could be potentially reason for this?

    Thank you,
    Seb

I know someone that bought a Skoda Rapid and they suffered back problems with something similar and slightly offset driving position. They eventually sold the car and bought something else. Have you driven B8 A4 before and did it feel okay?

It's my first B8 but in the past I had B6 and no problems with driver's position whatsoever. Before that I had Peugeot 607 and the seat in this case was slightly twisted. It appeared that you seat on slight angle ao car axis.
I will check other B8 if I can.
    Thanks.

Completely normal I'm afraid, mentioned in many reviews if you check online. Many attibute it to a lazy RHD conversion. but it is just a design fault.

Saying that, I had a B8 and a B8.5 from 2011 up until 3 weeks ago, and never actually noticed this as an issue, and never had any pains, maybe you can adjust the seat a bit and find a position that works for you?

As said, it is normal and a lot of reviews mention the offset clutch pedal. Never noticed it that much in our A4 but my wife drove it more than me. I never felt the seat was offset in relation to the steering wheel though.
