    Hi all

my 2003 2.5 Allroad on startup has a fault, headlights wipers heater indicators and horn won't work.

If i keep switching it on and off eventually it will come right but sometimes it can be 20 minutes trying.

    any ideas?

    cheers

    vin

Possibly a relay or ignition switch issue.

    I would suspect relay 2 - X contact relief relay (J59)
In the Micro-Central Electronics unit behind the drivers storage compartment. This relay turns off non essential power when cranking to minimise the current demand. Regards Peter

Well 370 is correct. It is a 70 Amp relay. Not sure about the 645 but they are simple relays used in many applications in the car. Regards Peter

    Hi Peter
what do you make of the blade sizes being so much bigger on the original one ?
Assuming the new relay is correct as this is having no effect what would you check next?

    Cheers
