    Default Engine Oil – 07-03-2018,03:53 PM
    I have a 2009 Audi A4SE 2.0D ( 170 ) with 75,000. What are my options re quality of engine oil?
    I know it is supposed to be 5W/30. The oil is changed at fixed intervals of approx. 10,000 miles or yearly, whichever comes first.
    What should I be looking for on the oil container? Apart from the big name brands, what about, for example, Asda's own brand?

    507.00 , Asda ( Tetrosyl ) , Quantum ( Fuchs ) , Castrol etc , a spec is a spec .

    I use Mobil ESP 5W30 in my Transporter 2.0 Bi-tdi and also in my A6 3.0 tdi. The Transporter has over 180000klms and the A6 is up to 70000. I have found Mobil to be the highest quality oil. I have been a diesel mechanic for 35 years now.

    Great oil as it's also a C2 .
