Was messing around in the Audi configurator and the selection of colours that you can choose for an A6 are pretty limited - and pretty uninspiring.

I took a look at the A4 and there are a few extra colours but still nothing to write home about.

Also the "roll your own colour" (Audi exclusive?) option seems to have vanished.

Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Would expect it is because they are running down c7 production ahead of c8 launch

Yes I suspect you are right johnsimcox... although the Audi Exclusive option also seems to be missing from the A4 options and that is a pretty new model.

With the c8 coming out end of the year the factory orders for c7 will slow down and audi will limit what you can have.
The a4 should be due a minor mid life update maybe even a full blown facelift soon and they would want you order limited options as some of them.

Looks as if Audi Exclusive has been dropped from the configurator for all models. Looked at the A8 and Q5 and neither offer that option.

End of life for the C7. Most manufacturers does the same.

Re the Exclusive line, you want it, just ask the dealer. Sometimes it has dissapeared from the German site as well while being fully available. Guess it happens when they update/change something on the site. In the past one could see the whole interior with the different exclusive colors available. Good days that was!

They probably removed it as it was slightly different for each market. There was probably too many people complaining that their car didn’t look like the brochure/website and to avoid law suits they removed it.

    Pity if so.

Saying that, when I ordered mine (which has the exclusive interior) the dealer entered into the program where the colors go, stitching etc. quite impreesive. Added a month to the normal delivery time though.
