golf mk5 Airbag light

Hi guys, daughter sat in passenger seat then airbag light came on, done a scan and shows pass side igniter 200, im aware the under seat plugs are an issue, i read to cut n solder, my question is, i am crap at soldering but can i cut and use bullet connectors instead, any advice welcome

Yh not a problem aslong as you crimp them nice and tight

Those connectors can cause problems, bare the wires twist them together like a braid drop of solder and tape to keep damp out. We put phone lines together like that for years with no h/r issues.

cheers guys sorted it for now with contact spray, if it reappears ill go with the solder option. at least i know now its the connectors
