Shiny thing

Just gave the car a normal wash at the weekend to get all the winter crud off. With the sunshine and clear blue sky the reflections on the bonnet looked lovely and stark on the orca black. 2+ year car now, glad I had the corrective polishing and protective coating done before Christmas it’s really paying off. So easy to clean too.

Yes. Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra (new variant of their professional-only applied product). Also then with two coats of their EXO water repellant on top. Similar treatment of Gtechniq products on the glass, wheels, interior. Made the car like new. PM me if you want more info. So far I think it’s a great product. Time will tell, they claim it lasts for 9 years (!!!j guarantee of some sort. Only downside is my rear bumper is scratched again after usage eg muddy kids sitting on lip, boots, jeans etc. I’m thinking about getting that bit coated with paint protection film as well.

Thanks for that. I'm more of a wax/sealant type though. I enjoy detailing too much. It keeps me fit spending a few days on a detail lol. Your car does look good though.

No probs. That’s what I used to do and still do on my other car - definitely a passion! Just been very impressed with how the ceramic & hydrophobic coats maintain the finish mostly, even after weeks of dirt. Only area that gets caked is the rear with my winter tyres on currently. The orca black is an absolute b*gger for grease and fingerprint marks though, once you have the surfaces clean and detailed up.
