Thanks for the replies re the audio, I doubt if I will notice much but will, I am sure be an improvement on the normal audio in my current Yeti!

Car is on the way to the dealers now - the back door tracker shows status 60 and dealer confirmed on Friday AM that it had left Sheerness.... not sure how long it will take to get to Edinburgh and then how long for PDI and handover.

I know at least in China size is might. They all want huge cars so they can be a bully on the road. Never seen anything quite like it in my time. The big range rovers likes cutting you off and weaving in and out of traffic cause they can and no one gets in their way just in case
There is little to no order unlike over here where at least there’s a bit of common courtesy.

It's not about the "size" per se, it's about having a limo (in China) which implies that you have a driver (as explained by a Chinese collegue). That's why they also have an A4L....
The other thing that is "odd" in China is that a bunch of Audi's carry engine designations that just seem wrong... either much bigger engines than you would see in Europe (a 4.0 Q5??) or engine designations that just don't appear elsewhere (if I recall there was a 3.5L designation). I think this may be a size matters aspect...

Wouldnt matter if they had 5.0v8 engines. The amount of traffic you wouldn’t be able to get up to any speed. Best thing is those electric moped things that’s good for like 50mph😄. I think we will see a lot more petrol options now after dieselgate.

My understanding is that A6L and A4L are (designed and) built in China... that was a smart move by Audi as I believe it "relieved" a bunch of import constraints...

I just want an A8L Avant with air suspension... build me that.

Too much 90's disco and heavy metal

I had a loan A6 whilst mine was in for a service yesterday. This didn't have Bose and at lowish level of volume it sounds fine no complaints from me. I can tell a slight difference but its when you go higher in volume that the Bose shines, the bass is much more controlled and it has much more power due to more and better amplification.

I probably wouldn't pay £1000 for it but I got it with the Black Edition.

And the proof, as my ten year old says, the Bose system goes up to volume 43 and the normal one only 23 so it must be better

Funny you should mention that, the Bose I had sounded about right for my ears at 20. Turning up the B&O system to 20 and one can hardly even still sit in the car. It really is much louder!
