    hi ,the temperature on my golf stays low,had a new thermostat fitted,but takes an age to get any heat out of blowers and never gets to 90 degrees gone into the temp control sender in case but havent fitted yet any ideas??? cheers for any help

    Hi mate, having the same issue on mine - I thought it was the thermostat but haven't got round to it yet. My oil temp temp reaches 60-70c before my water temp needle even moves. Mine also really struggled to start over winter when the ambient temperature was low. It would crank over for ages then have a lumpy idle for a second or two. This was only ever experienced on the first cold start of they day.

    I'm also experiencing a hiss from the turbo under partial load which I cant get to the bottom of!

    If its DSG there is another thermostat, that could lead to heat loss.
    Current cars:
    2007 Passat b6 2.0 tdi BMR DSG
    2011 Golf MK6 1.6 tdi CAYC 5 speed
