If they cannot explain that then the fault logging is obviously not good enough and I want it all confirmed in writing.
Hi in some cases fault logging can be erased if it is a minor error that is not always present. Had this issue several years ago with a Ford it kept "hunting" at idle as if it was leaning out, no fault log found. Ended up being a Lambda sensor, problem was if the error was not present for the next 10 start ups it deleted the error. Same thing may happen in the Audi system, all OK for "X" number of start ups so Del the error. Problem nowadays is they are Technicians, not motor vehicle mechanics Get one of the "old boy's' to look at it. If there are any !!!

Had this in my Honda. Random misfire in cylinder 1. After about 5 restarts it will go away as it seen as a random fault.
Just watched the video again and it reminds me of the old 205gti 😄

So they have done a software update and checked injectors etc nothing much more they can do. I have to keep an eye on it and report back. They have put it on the record so if it kicks off again after the warranty ends (June) then they would look at it under warranty.
