An "EGR out of range intermittent" fault keeps occurring. Any suggestions as to the cause would be welcome. will try and do a data log on VCDS. Thinking in terms of EGR v MAF v revs at present.

At idle, pull the vac hose off and check there’s vacuum there. If there isn’t, the valve is goosed which sits under the plastic bridge pipe behind the fuel filter. If there is, it’s likely your egr is dead or you have a hole in a vacuum line.

Test egr by removing, put some pipe on and suck to see if it opens.
