Sometimes when I start the car the driver side rear view mirror doesn't unfold all the way. I have to then turn the knob to fold the mirrors and turn it back to unfold them and then it unfolds all the way... Anyone else experienced this or know about it?

I’ve been getting this recently. I just put it down to the cold/frost building up. Only happens when it’s really cold on mine.

I have exactly the same problem. It never happened when at the Audi dealership so not fixed under warranty and now out of warranty. Always pops into position on after folding in and back out again...

Another with the issue here, the mirror is also far slower folding out than the N/S unit.

Yep, same here. Mentioned this prior to 1st service and they confirmed its just the mechanism struggling on frosty mornings. Had the car now two and a half years and only struggles on the really cold mornings.

Yes... Same here with me, I reported it last year but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Its going in again in march for a service n MOT and have reported the same fault but now on both sides.

Happened today at 5pm.. it was a cold day but still.... Thinking if I should turn the autofold off.... Car doesn't really park anywhere else other than house drive or office car park anyways... Wonder if it'll make it better or worse

Let us know if you do proceed with any (ahem) lubricant and if it works...
