    Hi Guys

I kind of messed up door coding on a friends audi q7

the story is he wanted to enable fold mirros on lock so I with into door module for drivers door and in 'coding' rather than add the values to original value, i wiped it and replaced with what i thought was correct and saved it without noting the old code.

he now tells me the door controls work the wrong way round? down is up and up is down, closing door is opening door, n stuff?

its a 2009 audi q7 - uk model - has folding mirrors. i understand you cannot reset the code so was hoping someone can help me sort this one out? can I grab the passenger door code and put this in drivers door to sort this? i really need help please?

    Hi,

There are a couple of ways to get the original coding back to where it was:

    1. If you did an Autoscan before you made any changes, this will have the original coding for the door module in it. Take a look in C:\Ross-Tech\Scans and you should find the scan saved there (if you did one).

    2. Failing that, there is a Debug folder in C:\Ross-Tech. This contains the coding from both before and after you made changes, so you can see what the coding was before you did anything. Just put that coding back into the module.

    Cheers!

    MF.
