Hi, I have a 57-plate GT Sport 170 TDi with the 312mm front brakes and 17 inch Classix alloys.
Does anyone know if the larger Callipers from the R32 will bolt straight onto the hubs? Are they an easy fit to plumb in with the hoses?
Also would they fit under the 17 inch alloys or would I have to get bigger wheels.
    Is it an easy conversion?
    Thanks

You'd also need the R32 pad carriers, the larger R32 disc guards (the existing guard lip can be cut off and grounded smooth or bent flat as an alternative) and revised brake hoses iirc. If you've removed calipers, bled brakes etc. then it is a straight forward conversion.

It is possible to fit R32 discs and calipers to certain 17" inch wheel versions (very tight) but I am not sure they'd fit Classix 17" if the standard 17x7 ET54 and even if they do clearance would be fractions of a mm. Wheel weights if mounted deeper into the wheel inside may also hinder clearance.

Most of the stock R32 wheels are 18x7.5 with ET51 offset which would be the right fit. An extra 12mm each side and the right offset would easily clear the new calipers and bigger discs / disc guards.

Plenty have done this across many forums.
