Today I did a long (for me) journey which was just over 3 hours. As the MMI app kills the battery I put the phone in the wireless charger unit (I forget the Audi name for it) which just about manages to keep up with the drain.
When I reached my destination my phone was so hot it had a message which basically said it had shutdown most services due to the phone overheating. I checked the area on the way back and even without the phone charging the area was getting hot.

Anyone else noticed the charger area getting very hot on a long journey?

Sold my Q7 now, but yes my galaxy s6 used to get very hot wirelessly charging , I'm not sure if you can change some settings on the phone to slow the charge speed or something to help counter the issue
