I’ve had the same on the sport contact and premium contact.
Just replaced my wife’s sport contact 5 and it had about 3mm+ in the middle and shiny bald on the edges. The car has full tpms and shows pressures in the car and app and I check it regularly. Always within manufacturers spec. These were the tyres it came with from factory.
    Again mainly motorway miles.

Mine was exactly the same, this happened on my note and qashqai, the problem was especially with the note they were a dodgy size tyre 185/55/16 and not many companies did them initially.

I find these report about uneven tyrewear really strange. Had absolutely no problem on the A6 and now the S6.

Driving styles and climate would probably be a big factor. Could be the varying temperatures that’s causing issues. Might try and find a place for a nitrogen fill, a proper place that suck all the air out then fill with nitrogen. Might make a difference.

    A few years back I had an A4 B7 2.0 Quattro.
Ran with 19s on it and had to put all 4 tyres around 4-5psi higher than specified otherwise I was getting wear in the middle.

I wonder if certain brands are stiffer across the tread and the pressure difference affects them less?
Can't remember which tyres it was, but I ran Avons and Kumhos on that car.

I just know I had to run mine harder than spec to get even wear.

Darich, if you over inflate your tyres you would expect the centres to wear out so your experience is unusual.

Unsual, yes, but at least a couple of others here reporting worn edges with "correct" pressures so that would indicate those tyres are too soft too. So it not a unique problem.

If I remember right I was running around 38-40psi and wear was even across all 4 tyres.
