Mine has 115 000 miles, no problem.
Its 5 speed manual and doing 43 MPG on average measured for last 3000 miles.
Sometimes even at city traffic if AC and electric cabin heater is off it does 43 MPG !
Shorter trips with AC or electric Cabin heater on it can be 35 MPG.
On highway its doing 52 MPG mostly.
    Current cars:
    2007 Passat b6 2.0 tdi BMR DSG
    2013 Golf MK7 1.6 tdi 5 speed

that is poor fuel consumption ... seat toledo same engine as my golf on a 520 miles trip Dony to Edinburgh and back with ac on and loaded with tools av 69 mpg ,,, anyway I did change the oil with castrol edge and bosch oil filter and the fuel consumption improve is doing av 45-50 mpg . So I think that quantum III long life is rubbish will never use anything else then castrol in vw engines .

Was , now made by Fuchs .

Fuchs is a more specialist oil supplier that Castrol...

Must of been fake oil of a 20W50 mineral flavour to get that difference in mpg , lol .
