Thanks for the info.. will be looking into getting a new dpf genuine one if I can figure out what the bad smell of diesel is as I'm thinking it's not because the dpf has been cut open and insides removed as would only be smelling burning diesel out exhaust but smell it even standing at the front of the car when idling... if can't figure out why this is happening I'll just be getting shot of it ..

I did a 170ps A3 with the BMN engine a few weeks ago, the lady had just bought it and reported it stank and boy did it! You could not stand near the car when it was running, it made you choke and your eyes run. A new DPF and remap back to standard sorted it out, plus a pollen filter as the one in there was rank.

Ah right could possibly just be that then dpf and remap it is
