Some help needed with park brake problem, VCDS log file

Thought I would start a fresh thread to maybe help others in the future when searching.
Short version, park brake locked on warning on dash, bought obd wind off tool off of ebay which worked once and never again!
Anyway brakes off so stripped down new pads lubed sliders etc, noticed been standing not to keen to start so new battery and away we go for all of two days then warning came back on whilst driving and epb inop, so did what I should have done in the first place and bought VCDS.
Anyway its taken me two days to work out how to get the log file

so you can see it and hopefully advise me what may be the fault.

I should add I deleted all the dtcs and its been fine since, but I know it wont last!

Did you code the battery?
Did you use vcds to push the back brake pads into service position?
Did you use another battery connected to your car while using vcds to push the brake pads? From my point of view, you should do an output test on brakes, check the dash indicator for brakes it might be deffective, check coding of battery.
Did you have problems with the steering column or changed/fixed abs/esp module?
If you coded well the new battery, check alternator for charging, check + and -wires, check wires to alternator, check/replace/used or new BEM and wires to it.
The dates of the errors are before changing the battery or after changing it?

For the above I would be looking at a Clearing of the codes and a rescan then if it returns you need to run the 'Sensor for Steering Angle calibration (G85) in the basic Settings and if this does not sort this out then you could be looking at a new clockspring.

The parking brake issues may be resolved with the functional test of the parking brake, if the lamp fault persist then do bulb check of the instrument cluster and the parking brake switch this can be done using VCDS in the various module under output tests.

The other codes are Kind of battery related so a good charge of the battery and a clearing and re scan is first thing to do.

I will try and answer questions in correct order but dont bank on it!
Scan was after battery changed
Battery not coded, I replaced like for like and still not totally convinced the battery is faulty as I have since charged it up on a trickle charger and its holding 12.72 volts in my garage over 48 hrs later.
Have to say car does spin up quicker and start better.
I have just printed off the ross tech instructions to code the battery and will have a go later today
I used another tool I bought off ebay to wind the callipers back to service position then when calliper off the carrier I used a wind back tool to push them fully home (not sure if that was right thing to do?)
Ebay tool would then no longer work anymore! so sent it back and bought VCDS which I know I should have done in the first place.
No problems with ebs or steering since we have had the car, dates on them shows years ago but mileage shows current mileage?
I have cleared all codes today and its been fine since, also checked warning lamp function on the dash and it came on and off as expected with VCDS.
I also checked the earth jump start point under the bonnet after reading about someones whos got hot, it wasnt tight by my standards but certainly wasnt loose.

I have to say Windows operating system is just utter pants.

I will report back after having a go at the coding.

Next time when you don’t know or u’r not sure about something, just ask us maybe we can help you. Never use another tool for the brakes besides vcds. Generaly speaking what you did is very wrong. Perform the output test of the brakes and everything will be fine. Your car has to know min and max of the brakes. You will teach it with the output test. Code the battery with the same coding you had on the old one.

VCDS will not talk to section/address 61 battery regul, any ideas? keeps saying controller not found.

Pretty sure I did the output tests the other day can remember it saying 10mm or something like that one way and something the other way, it worked so didnt pay much attention.
Shows Amps powering it and out pretty much the same each side.

Can anyone tell me the location of the controller 61 as google seems to suggest if not found by VCDS its because the car doesnt have one fitted, so would like to do a physical check?

Near the battery you have a black box. Watch the cables from the battery to it.
