    Hi Everyone,

New to these forums and was looking to see if anyone has had this problem before,

On my way home from work tonight I turned a corner and 3 beeps along with the handbrake light flashing, both esp and abs lights came on my dashboard along with brake fault drive carefully to nearest workshop. I have a A3 1.9TDIe 58 plate. Although with all these warnings the braking system felt fine. Took it into a empty car park to test and the car is still functioning normally.

I'm planning on taking it to my local garage tomorrow but if anyone has any ideas of what it could be/ what can I expect i'd appreciate it.

    Cheers

Could be loads of things - it needs a scan with decent VAG relevant diagnostic system, not just generic OBDII, make sure your local garage has that capability. Anything else is guesswork until that's done.

2009 model A3 Mk60.1 pumps have a nasty habit of failing, the give away fault code is one reporting ECU failure (I have the number at work) and the only solution is to replace the ECU or have it rebuilt by someone like BBA who did one for me this week.

That good will campaign only applied if the fault code pointed at the G201 sensor but the campaign ended a couple of years ago and as far as I know was only being offered by VW dealers. Without knowing what the fault code is, it is pure conjecture and Audi would want you to commit to a full on diagnostic at £120+ to even begin the process with no guarantees of help further along.
