Well i need to get new disks and pads up front on my C7 Quattro Avant.

I am faced with a bit of a niggle - I Am presented with two types of , ATE or LUCAS - i have no idea what the differences are and how i can tell what i currently have on my car?
    IMG_4817.jpgIMG_4816.jpgIMG_4818.jpg

EuroCarParts gives me the option of both for my REG.

I am also not sure on if i go with Ferodo, Brembo, Pagid or Mintex.

Look in your service book for the PR codes. If you look at the part on eurocraparts in the description will show the pr codes.
I got the trw discs and pads, similar price to the other stuff but it came with all the bolts, fittings, shims, sensors, and grease. Think it was about £240 for my 272 fl discs and pads all round.
Careful with discs as not all of them have coated/painted hubs and will look like a rusty mess within a day. Trw is coated black.

Well this is the other thing. I didn’t get a service book with the car. Bought from Inchcape, they said it’s all electronics and I don’t get a book

I got mine from a main dealer and the service book is basically a couple of A4 sheets of paper with the service details printed out. ie the mileage, and what was done. I do know that it is recorded electronically now though.

Any chance of popping into a local Audi and asking them to print off the Vehicle build Data? I did that and got about 20 pages of vehicle build data that includes all the PR codes, it might be worth a shot?

I just turned up and asked nicely, but had to be fairly firm :-) Make sure you take some ownership details, V5 etc, as they do like to quote the Data Protection act quite a bit! Good Luck!
