    right guys,

have a customers golf 1.4 in the garage, the radiator fan is coming on full speed when the key is removed from the ignition, it is working as it should when the key is back in.

no fault codes and live data is showing all temperatures are normal.

we have replaced the complete fan with one we had at the garage and its still the same.

    any ideas on this guys

    will quickly update this.

after further diagnostics it turned out to be the engine bay fuse box full of water.
replaced this and all is good.

I had the fan going nuts yesterday on a Golf 5 SDI when the ignition was on, this is usually a faulty fan pack but in this case it turned out to be the outside temperature sender had been cut off and it was saying the car was at 132 degrees so the fan came on to try and cool it.... I shoved a 4K Ohm resistor across the wires which made the gauge read 8 degrees and it shut the fan up, car is a complete shed.
