    No pictures unfortunately.

    thank you for your information. my B8 150ps saloon suffer the same issue. Do you think the owner can solve it DIY? "big plastic trim on the side of the "transmission tunnel" what is that position? thanks.

    very nice solution from yours. how much you pay to dealer regarding this issue. Is it a complex work? or DIY possible?

    Ours has been doing this since we’ve owned it (20k and 20 months ago) but after reading this I asked the dealer to look into the issue when I was having the car serviced yesterday - when I handed the car over the service guy said he wasn’t aware of it but they would do a check for technical bulletins.

    They rang in the afternoon to confirm the service had been done and there was indeed a VW bulletin for this to be undertaken if the customer mentions it (rather than it being a recall or automatically undertaken) and that it would be covered by VW if we paid for a diagnosis (60), I pointed out the car is on a 2 year extended warranty until the end of October so it was FOC but for those out of warranty it would be a 60 repair.

    The wording on my service sheet is;

    Code ‘51 LAB’ carried out fix as per technical information to rectify customer issue of heater matrix pipe vibrating. Now all OK’

    I don’t know if this is Vindis wording and coding or VW but hopefully it can help others. I can confirm the issue was completely absent on the journey home.

    That’s my second free service and the benefit of my 2 year warranty, more than a happy with that!
