Over the last few months i've had problems with rhe engine management on my AWA 2.0FSi engined A4.
When i first got the car just over a year ago, it kept flagging a fault with the NOx sensor, but kept clearing itself. The car seemed to run alright for about 9 months then suddenly without warning it went into limp home mode. Switched engine off and restarted and drove fine the rest of the way home. Plugged in my VCDS (i'm a registered user) and there were loads of fault codes relating to Throttle Body and ECU. I sent the ECU to BBA-Reman at Rochester who informed me that the ECU was beyond repair due to corrupt data probably caused by the faulty NOx sensor. I have since sourced a pre used NOx sensor and ECU. The issue I have is this, the ECU that was fitted originally to the car has the VAG part No 8E1 910 018 where as the replacement has the VAG part No 8E0 906 018K. Can I use this ECU or do I need to source one with same part No?
