apologies if this is in the wrong place admin please move if it is!

So after a trip to France where a defective set of snow chains nicely ripped through the cable for my front right abs sensor I now need to replace the cable!
I have managed to disconnect it from the sensor and unclipped all the little lugs/brackets but I cant seem to find where the wiring goes from the wheel well to be able to disconnect it?
my question is, do I need to remove the plastic wheel well to find a connector/plug? or should it just pull through the hole in the well? Im a little confused as it doesn't seem to want to pull through?

any help would be much appreciated.

Fairly sure you will find that it is part of the main wiring loom. So you will need to cut it out and graft in the new loom. Yes you need to remove the arch liner to see what is really happening.

i was surprised to find my a4 rear sensor connector was under the rear bench seat. The cable in total was 135cm! Clever in a way... keeping it dry.
