I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction after having a fuel filter change crisis. My case is a 2012 VW Golf 1.6 bluemotion (CAYC engine). I have changed the fuel filter and replace the cover, this was the easy part. I have purged the fuel system with VCDS, the engine did the 10 second running and then stopped. I have check the filter bowl which is full of fuel, check both returns from the filter and they are both flowing clear when the pump is running (both when the ignition is turned on and with VCDS running). I have also tried syphoning from the fuel return to remove any air bubbles, but still it wont start. Has anyone got any ideas what I could be missing?
I have tried starting a few times but no joy (I dont really want to flatten the battery) and I have also purged with VCDS a few times.

I have completely run out of ideas!

FIXED NOW!!! I had to slacken off the injectors to purge the air. I would have thought that the VCDS purge would have taken care of this?!

As you've asked on another forum.

You don't have slacken off the injectors to purge the air for a fuel filter change. VCDS is the only thing.
