Hi all. Can anybody tell me if they ever got a 100% answer on the misfire at between 1500 and 1900 rpm in higher gears if you try to sink the boot? Found lots and lots of threads but no definite answers. It does not throw any fault codes up, vw had it and said according to their tests everything showed normal. They were meant to give me a print out, they never gave me one. Don’t want to keep trying different things and getting nowhere. Got new turbo fitted and ecu tested, ecu was good and turbo never helped. I also tried a new fuel pump from my mates car, was still the same. When I bought the car the turbo pipe came off, I thought it was just that. It was identical kind of judder but a lot worse. Had all the pipes checked when turbo was done, all looked fine. I think I have just noticed it does not do it when cold, it does do it after a couple of miles. Anybody out there that could maybe shed some light?
    Thanks
    Shaun

    You've been taken advantage of..

Enquire with VW if the injectors were replaced per recall.

Thank you for the reply. Before I booked the car in with local vw, I had checked if it should of had a recall. I looked online and phoned vw and they said there was no recalls for that vehicle, would not tell me if it had been done, data protection I think it was.

If it's a BKP engine and has had a recall (it should have had) there should be a sticker in the boot floor.

If it's a BKP it will loose oil pressure and die..

I can’t think of ever seeing a sticker in the boot. Do you mean that will happen if I don’t do the injectors?

Thank you for the reply. I am not a mechanic, can you explain why the shaft having wear would cause the misfire judder thing I get?

The oil pump issue is a separate problem that can cause engine failure.

Thank you for that, I thought it was. Has got me worried now, would rather find the cause of my current problem first though.. 😂
