You still haven't said what engine type you've got. If it is a BKP then your VW dealer should tell you if the injectors have been done.

Have you looked under the mat in the boot, and in the spare wheel well?

Gazwould does tend to be a Job's comforter

It is a bkp engine. I phoned and asked vw if the injectors were done, they fobbed me off. I never owned the car at the time of recalls, it would breach data protection if they told me. Something like that. I looked in the boot, could not see any stickers to say hex was done. If I can get the judder sorted, I will get it done next.

Have a read of the second of the 'Similar threads' at the bottom of this page (Injector failure). If you take proof of ownership to the dealer there's no reason why they shouldn't tell you if the injectors have been done. VW are fobbing you off because it's an expensive job for VW (or you otherwise).

There won't be a sticker in the boot for the hex key, only recalls.

    Hello readyrangers
Just one thing to note if you see the oil warning light, stop the car immediately and do not drive it.

The car can be fixed it you are handy with a spanner.

I have a BKP 2.0 , 2008 and it happened to mine . At the it was about 100000 miles. She now as 115000 miles on her.

My specialist in Nottingham told me I needed a replacement engine and the guys and girls on here helped. I was able to restore her without a replacement engine.

I just saw this. I hope you got your problem sorted, if not you are in the right place.

    Someone here will help.

Get a scan done with a VW capable fault code reader (VCDS / VagCom, VAS or professional tool capable of reading the modular faults stored by the ECU). This will either bring up stuff to point you in the right direction or eliminate the fact that the car seems happy which would mean it's likely to be mechanical but within tolerances required by the ECU. One of these babies can run like a dog and the ECU be quite content with that.

What area are you in as there is a VCDS locator section on this forum to find nearby members who will scan your car for beer tokens.
