    Hi guys

My friend has an Audi a3 Sportback 2005 1.9 TDI 103BHP and she has had a sudden loss of power. The car seems to drive like the turbo is not spooling but stills gets up some speed, it just takes a while!

We scanned the car and got the following results:

    1 Fault Found:
    16621 - Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31)
    P0237 - 000 - Signal too Low
    Freeze Frame:

    Bin. Bits: 11000000
    Absolute Pres.: 1081.2 mbar

    2 Faults Found:

    Voltage: 14.50 V
    RPM: 1850 /min
    Load: 0.0 %
    Load: 9.0 %

I have done a log of the car on idle and flicked the throttle a little to see if the MAP was doing anything but i don't know how to read the logs all that well so if someone could tell me if they think the MAP is functioning that would be great!

    LOG: LOG-01-007-010-011.zip

Any ideas would be very helpful.

    Thanks!
    Jamie

Your boost pressure is stuck on 2193mBar which suggests a failed MAP/IAT (AKA "Thrust" sensor) and I have seen these stick.

    Hi Guys,

I've changed the MAP unit on the car for her however we are still getting the same problem. The error code will not go away!

I put a multi-meter across the pins and got the following:
    1 - Ground?
    2 - approx 4.9V
    3 - nothing
    4 - approx 5-5.1V

Could anyone let me know if getting nothing on pin 3 is normal? Or maybe this is the part of the problem and the reason for the code?

Since changing the sensor i have done another scan for faults and got the following:

    2 Faults Found:
18000 - Altitude Sensor / Boost Pressure Sensor
    P1592 - 000 - Implausible Correlation
    Freeze Frame:
    RPM: 0 /min
    Torque: 0.0 Nm
    Speed: 0.0 km/h
    Load: 0.0 %
    Voltage: 12.39 V
    Bin. Bits: 00000100
    Absolute Pres.: 999.6 mbar
    Absolute Pres.: 2182.8 mbar

    16621 - Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31)
    P0237 - 000 - Signal too Low
    Freeze Frame:
    RPM: 0 /min
    Torque: 0.0 Nm
    Speed: 0.0 km/h
    Load: 0.0 %
    Voltage: 12.39 V
    Bin. Bits: 00000100
    Absolute Pres.: 183.6 mbar
    Absolute Pres.: 2182.8 mbar

    Readiness: 0 0 1 1 1

Any help would be really appreciated! I also found out her engine code is: BKC

    Thanks,
    Jamie

hi, i have the same problem on my audi a3 engine BCK 1.9 TDI. Did you find a solution? Reading online could be some electrical wire from the MAP sensor... I've already tried to change all the sensors
