    Hello

I've had the car for a month now and want to connect my Iphone to play music through etc.

I have the MMI 3 with the joystick and AMI connection in the glove box (apparently, not actually looked yet)

I've been searching for a cable to connect my iphone with the car and it seems to be a minefield of choice. Amazon is selling a host of different cables from £5 upwards, Audi's cables seem to be around £50> and there also seems to be different types.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the one that's for my car/phone please.

The car is a 2011 C6 Special Edition.

    Many thanks in advance

(why do they always have to make things so complicated)

I know where your coming from mate, bought a bluetooth receiver conencted it via AMI cable which leads to 3.5 jack, and a Micro USB wire to power it up.

I hated the fact that i needed the USB wire to power it up through the 12v Socket, wires flowing out the glovebox to coffee holder lol.

So i decided to get the IPOD AMI cable, and it powered uo the bluetooth receiver but guess what?!? My audi didnt recognise any playback from the bluetooth receiver!!!!!

You’re right there are quite a few and Audi charge an outrageous amount for them. When I sold the wife’s A5 I kept all the cables (came with the car 5 years ago!) but the replacement VW also came with the full bundle.

Which one do you need? AMI to lightning, 30pin, USB or 3.5mm? Pretty sure I’ve got them all and can sell you whichever you’re after for £10 inc postage?
