New emissions scandal - V6 and V8 TDi

I've just seen this report by Reuters that Audi must recall another 127,000 current model vehicles (V6 and V8 TDi) for emissions fixes.

I have seen this, and interested to know precisely which models it covers. I have a May 2017 BiTdi A6. I'm quite happy the way it is, so don't want to take the risk of a retro ecu re-flash. You don't get something for nothing, so if they can reduce emissions, it must be at the expense of something.

I'd imagine this recent news is the latest update and Audi site has yet to reflect it/admit a balls up!

Agreed. I read another report on it too yesterday. This is only Euro 6 V6 & V8 engines and they don’t yet have a software update available.

I read that page to mean that the EU6 version of the EA189 engine is unaffected, and engine that appears to not be the V6 or V8.

Correct the EA189 is the 4cyl engine that is used in the 2.0TDi (also available as a 1.6 version).
