    Its not a UK body who are imposing the recall. If Audi dont have to do it in the UK they won't, much like the VW compensation scheme for depreciation.

    Exactly. VAG stumped up in the USA 'cos they were worried about the punitive measures the US Govt. might apply; sadly our toothless politicians won't do the same.
