I received a signed-for letter this morning from Audi asking me to book in for a "product enhancement recall" for my A6 3.0tdi Avant BE. The letter says its for:

    "90K3 - Service campaign for Audi A4"

So it must span the A4 and A6 models by the look of it and the dealer tells me its an instrument cluster software software update which isn't a safety issue.

Other than maybe adding 20mpg to the fuel consumption readings or maybe allowing me to turn off the radio without a ghost turning it back on again, does anyone know the details of what this will change?

My A6 was in last year (October) for an Instrument cluster recall. Never had any issues before or after the update. My A6 is an MY 17 with tech pack, so colour dis.

Yes mine is also MY 2017 with tech pack.

It was serviced in October and spent a couple of days with them last week after a breakdown so I'm amazed they haven't already done it on the quiet.

Is the radio turning itself on again a thing . Mine does it and it bloody annoying . I can’t find where the setting is to leave it off when it turns off . I think it’s to do with the phone to car connection .

The radio, Bluetooth, sat nav is an all in one integrated box. There’s always something running and part of it runs the dis as well so the thing can’t be really turned off unless you pull the use which will probably give you an error.

Both the A6 and A7 did/does this. I've found a way around it which is not to press the volume button in which effectively mutes it and does not switch it off but instead, turn the volume all the way down.
Almost like the old cassette players in cars where to turn off you had to go all the way down via the volume control and then "click" to turn off...
