I've already done a search on the forum but can't find anything specific regarding recommendations for tyres for 20" wheels....
i need four 255/35/20. Car has Dunlop quattromax currently and they seem ok but nothing special. I'm tending towards GY Eagle F1 asymmetrical 2 (I can only find the assy3 in this side in a Jag specific fitment). Michelin pilots always get good reviews but are a fair bit pricier....
So what are the views of those with 20" wheels?

My old BiTdi came with the bog standard 20” Pirellis. Outright dangerous so had them changed to Michelins within 2weeks of taking delivery. Best thing I ever did. Not only did it transform the car, handling became much better and lasted well beyond the 3 yrs I had the car (50k mls incl winter change).

    Michelin, every time.

I really rate Uniroyal Rainsports. They are going on when my OE Pirelli's die. I've used them on previous cars and reckon they are the best VFM "decent" make tyre out there and they are damned good in typical UK weather. I. e, wet.

Goodyear asy 2 was factory on my last A6 and they were really good. Wore well, wet and dry grip was really good. Definitely rate them above the Michelin PS3 I have on the current one.
Michelin’s were good in the dry and ok in the wet. Dry handling is where they excelled. Also found at the limit of grip it snapped whereas the Goodyear was more progressive loss of grip.
Needing a set to replace the summers when it comes and gearing towards the asy 3.

Yip had the AS3 on my tuned F11 535d and they survived that abuse. Recommend them. Bought from Lovetyres.

    I’ve run in 255/40/19 size
    UniRoyal Rainsports
    Michelin PS3’s
    Currently running Goodyear Assy 3’s

    UniRoyals lasted 13000
    Michelins barely lasted 12,000
Goodyears have been on for about 3000 miles and seem to be wearing well

The UniRoyals were almost half the price of the Michelins and outperformed them in every condition

I got a good deal on the Goodyears through Costco but time will tell if they last as long. Performance wise they are on a better than the UniRoyals and Michelins whilst maintaining roughly the same MPG. They are quieter than both sets

I am running Continental Contisport 5 Contisilent with the sound-deadening foam inserts. I love them.

The asy2 is the former version of the asy3, it's the 2012-2015 version:

So it's cheaper, because it's a NOS if new, but this is an old one even if new. If it's older then three years (please refer to the DOT), then I suggest to not to purchase it, but choose a same priced new one.

BTW, I also recommend the Asy3. Magnificent!
