    Hello
I can not understand how to find the CAN link on my A6 4F. (2010)
the color of the wires is orange / green for the top and orange / brown for the Low ? just? ..
there is a CAN network in the car? ....only one? can I take a connection anywhere?
it is to connect a video interface that needs a CAN link with the car.
I thought to take it by dismounting the air conditioning console, but it's too difficult, I do not want to break ... so,
I found under the glove box, two son wound together (I guess it's the CAN) orange green and orange brown.
    that's it ?

    thank you

We have few different can networks in the car, depends of your instruction...normally its either dash(infotainment) or convenience can network which is needed...so double check instructions where they advice it to connect!

in that case extend wires to gateway and tap(properly) them there, to the same color codes as on instructions!

it's crazy ! it seems very easy, but at home it's impossible!
I'm doing exactly the same thing ....

    another video
    2005 - 2009 Audi A6 iPod AUX USB Adapter Install Dension GW51MO2 Spec.dock AUDIC6V2i Part 1 of 5 - YouTube

the two CAN sons I found are behind the glove box, I do not know which gateway number,

    https://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/974452222.jpg

I will try to find the number of this gateway
if I can find the number of this gateway then it will be necessary to see if
does the same circuit as the CAN of air conditioning ...?

it would have been much easier if there was only one communication CAN for the whole car.

if it is a CAN, such as air conditioning, then it will be ok, otherwise ... it is absolutely necessary to disassemble this air conditioning.

gate is the one on pic with audi rings on it(black box)

BTW: on newer a6 you need to remove vent etc...to get access to release climate panel clips(only pulling climate panel will not help)!

thank you very much for your help and your participation.

so "1" is CAN gate for air conditioning ? ( it's not the order of the doors? )
    https://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/36946165AA.jpg
CAN wire colors are orange / brown and orange / green

what is "2"? it has the same colors of CAN son orange / brown and orange / green

the connection documentation of this video interface is wrong at this level
for CAN wire colors? or .... audi has changed color of CAN wires with the facelift version (mine ... 2010)

after ...xx research, I think it's the gateway " J255 "that manages the air conditioning.
and the CAN wires would be nice orange / green ... orange / brown ...??

but can not be found in elsawin? (no tracking?)
or is he in the car? ... I continue to search
